BATAVIA – Batavia High School’s homecoming parade on Wednesday will follow a new route because of construction work on West Wilson Street.
Parade units will begin staging at 5 p.m. in the student lot at Batavia High School off West Wilson Street. The parade will start at 5:30 p.m. and will go east on Wilson Street to Lincoln Street, turn right onto southbound Lincoln to Main Street and turn right onto westbound Main Street, ending in the Batavia High School parking lot at Main Street and Millview Drive.
During the parade, West Wilson Street, First Street and Main Street will all be closed at South Batavia Avenue (Route 31) to westbound traffic.
Traffic traveling east on West Wilson Street from Randall Road will be detoured to Western Avenue, and vehicle traffic traveling east on Main Street from Randall Road will be detoured onto Millview Drive.
