Hultgren endorses Senger for Congress

The following news release was issued by Darlene Senger's campaign. State Rep. Senger, R-Naperville, is running for the seat now held by U.S. Rep. Bill Foster, D-Naperville:

U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren, R-Winfield, endorsed Darlene Senger for Congress and cited Senger’s leadership in bringing bold solutions forward to address Illinois’ fiscal condition as a key reason for his support.

“Darlene Senger doesn’t run from challenges, she runs toward them,” said Hultgren. “Darlene’s work to hold the line on taxes, rein in Democrat over-spending and bring bold solutions to help stabilize Illinois’ pension system makes her the right person to represent the 11th District in Congress.”

“Darlene Senger is running at the right time for the right reasons. I know Darlene and we would be a strong team that can bring solutions and real reform to Washington. That’s why I’m endorsing her and giving her my full support,” said Hultgren.

As a state representative, Darlene Senger has earned accolades for her work to hold the line on taxes and promote job creation in Illinois. Recently, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce awarded Darlene with their “Champion of Free Enterprise” Award for her legislative work to encourage job creation and economic expansion in Illinois and the National Federation of Independent Business honored Senger with their ‘Guardian of Small Business Award’ for her efforts to help small businesses in Illinois expand and succeed.

Senger has lived in Naperville for 20 years and before that resided in Clarendon Hills. Darlene is a graduate of Purdue University and received her MBA from DePaul University, having worked her way through school. Darlene’s children, Eric and Michelle are graduates of Waubonsie Valley High School and the University of Illinois and both currently reside here in our community.
