Face Time with Nanette Stephens

South Elgin resident Nanette Stephens, 52, was showing her photography at the Art in Your Eye show in Batavia when she answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

 

Where did you grow up? Hampshire 

Pets? A German shorthair pointer named Stone and an English labrador retriever named Sam

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Jennifer Aniston

First job? Waitress at Union 76 truck stop when I was 17

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A dancer. I became a legal secretary before I did photography.

A movie you’d recommend? “Arsenic and Old Lace”

Favorite charity? St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Favorite local restaurant? Francesca’s by the River in St. Charles

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? At a horse show, a horse worth $100,000 got loose and was running around, and I caught him. His name was George.
