Nominations sought for St. Charles awards

ST. CHARLES – The St. Charles Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for several awards, including the Charlemagne Award.

The Charlemagne Award is a lifetime achievement award given to an individual with a distinguished history of service to the community. Membership in the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce is not required.

Nominations also are needed for these awards:

• Civic Image Award – It recognizes humanitarian efforts and/or civic or personal projects outside of business that have brought outstanding, positive recognition to St. Charles by a qualified member of the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce.

• Community Development Award – It is given for recent construction and extensive remodeling or renovation projects by a qualified member of the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce, representing a significant investment in the business community.

• Community Image Award – It acknowledges enhancements to businesses and is given to members of the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce who have made significant improvements, such as new or additional landscaping, interior remodeling or improved signage and/or exterior or structural improvements.

Nominations are due Nov. 15. Those wanting to nominate a person or business for an award should call the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce at 630-584-8384. Forms are available at www.stcharleschamber.com.

Winners will be announced during the 92nd annual St. Charles Chamber of Commerce dinner on Feb. 7.
