Police Reports

Sugar Grove police reports

• A man, 22, of the 900 block of Bishop Road, Sugar Grove, told police on Tuesday, Sept. 17, that someone had made several unauthorized charges from his bank account using his debit card information. He also noticed an unauthorized deposit made into his account. He said the unauthorized activity began after he used his debit card at an ATM in Chicago on Sunday, Sept. 15. He said he had notified his bank and closed his account.

• A man, 43, of the 200 block of East Park Avenue, Sugar Grove, told police on Tuesday, Sept. 17, that someone had spray-painted vulgar graffiti on the garage door of his home. Police believe the damage occurred on the evening of Monday, Sept. 16.

• A woman, 68, of the 900 block of Price Road, Sugar Grove, told police on Wednesday, Sept. 18, that she witnessed a man kick in the back door of a vacant foreclosed home in the 900 block of McDole Drive. Police said the woman witnessed the burglary in progress. When police arrived, they found the suspect had fled, perhaps in a truck. They found the back door leaning against the side of the house, and the door split in half. The incident is believed to have occurred around 5:10 a.m. on Sept. 18.

• A man, 60, of the 900 block of Lake Ridge Court, Sugar Grove, told police on Saturday, Sept. 28, that someone had taken his wallet from a drawer in his home, as well as $40 in cash from his wife’s purse, during a party the couple had hosted at their home on Sept. 27.
