GENEVA – Because of the rain, the Geneva High School PTO barbecue and Homecoming Pep Rally will move indoors, officials announced. Events will be at Geneva High School, 416 McKinley Ave., Geneva.

The same festivities that were planned outdoors will take place indoors, including the elementary school cheer contest and the crowning of the 2013 Homecoming Court.

The PTO will serve free sloppy Joes, fruit, chips and water from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

The pep rally will begin at 7 p.m. or approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of the varsity volleyball game if the game extends beyond 7 p.m. The freshman, sophomore and junior varsity contests begin at 4:30 p.m. The varsity match begins at 5:30.
