Library concert series featuring blues duo set for Sunday

ST. CHARLES – The Chicago-based blues duo Donna Herula and Tony Nardiello will perform a blues concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the St. Charles Public Library, 1 S. 6th Ave., St. Charles.

Herula and Nardiello have appeared at Chicago entertainment venues and events, such as The House of Blues, Chicago Blues Festival and Buddy Guy’s Legends.  Herula plays slide guitar and was the winner of the Chicago Blues Challenge, a solo-duo category, and a semifinalist at the 2012 International Blues Challenge, according to a news release.

Nardiello, a singer and guitarist, has gained inspiration from the music of Mississippi John Hurt and Blind Blake.
