Senger touts DuPage County endorsements
The following is a news release from Darlene Senger, running as a Republican for the Illinois 11th Congressional District:
Darlene Senger, Republican for the Illinois 11th Congressional District, announced support from local Republican Party and Educational leaders. Senger said the amount of support she is getting from Republicans show that she is the right candidate to bring a Republican victory in the next election.
Senger was endorsed by Dr. Darlene Ruscitti, DuPage Regional Superintendent of Schools, Naperville Township Republican Chairman Rachel Ossyra, and Lisle Township Republican Chairman and State Sen. Michael Connelly.
“Darlene has been a great advocate for Republican principles of smaller government and less taxes. She has demonstrated that as a Naperville City Councilwoman and State Representative and will bring those principles to Washington,” said Superintendent Ruscitti. “Darlene Senger has earned my support.”
“I have supported Darlene since she first ran for Naperville City Council, I know she has what it takes to get Washington back on track, she will be a great representative of the area, like she always has been,” said Naperville Chairman Rachel Ossyra.
Lisle Township Chairman and State Sen. Michael Connelly said that Senger has already shown she has what it takes to stand up for fiscally responsibility.
“I have had the privilege of serving with Darlene during my tenure in Springfield. Time and time again Darlene has been a leader on the most important issue facing Illinois like Medicaid reform and the pension crisis, that type of experience will be a welcome change in Washington,” said Sen. Connelly.
As a state representative, Darlene Senger has earned accolades for her work to hold the line on taxes and promote job creation in Illinois. Recently, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce awarded Darlene with their “Champion of Free Enterprise” Award for her legislative work to encourage job creation and economic expansion in Illinois and the National Federation of Independent Business honored Senger with their ‘Guardian of Small Business Award’ for her efforts to help small businesses in Illinois expand and succeed.
Senger has lived in Naperville for 20 years and before that resided in Clarendon Hills. Darlene is a graduate of Purdue University and received her MBA from DePaul University, having worked her way through school. Darlene’s children, Eric and Michelle are graduates of Waubonsie Valley High School and the University of Illinois and both currently reside here in our community.
