Java Plus opens doors in Sugar Grove

A ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday morning welcomed Java Plus to Sugar Grove.

The coffee shop is at 125 S. Municipal Drive, in the building that houses the Sugar Grove Public Library. Sugar Grove Trustee Mari Johnson (from left), Java Plus owners Vicki and Mike Morkert, Sugar Grove Village President Sean Michels and Lisa Lund and Steve Ekker were on site for the opening. Java Plus sells coffee, teas, soups and some sandwiches. It is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday – before the library opens, the Morkerts noted. It also is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
