Geneva police reports

• William J. Taber, 42, a homeless man living in the Geneva area, was charged Thursday, Oct. 17, with criminal trespass to property after being told to leave, a misdemeanor. According to police reports, police located Taber in the lobby of the First Baptist Church of Geneva at 2300 South St., Geneva. Reports state that Taber was in “an agitated state.” Taber was argumentative but ultimately removed himself from the property, according to reports. After leaving, Taber became verbally aggressive and began challenging police to fight him. He started to walk back toward the church when police arrested him.
