St. Charles police reports

• Thomas Clayton Carr, 43, of the 1000 block of Independence Avenue, St. Charles, was charged Sunday, Oct. 27, with speeding and insurance. He also was arrested on a Massac County warrant for failing to appear in court.

• Ellen Alex Raftis, 82, of the 300 block of Westbrook Circle, Naperville, was charged Sunday, Oct. 27, with two counts of theft for reportedly stealing dolls from several vendors at the doll show at the Kane County Fairgrounds, 525 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

• Firewood was reported stolen Sunday, Oct. 27, from a residence in the 1800 block of Jeanette Avenue, St. Charles.

• Kelly K. McGroarty, 39, of the 900 block of Prairie Street, St. Charles, was charged Sunday, Oct. 27, with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08 percent and improper lane use.

• Jason Nathaniel Jones, 33, of the 2100 block of Maple Avenue, Hanover Park, was charged Saturday, Oct. 26, with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08 percent and speeding.

• A camper in the 200 block of North Randall Road, St. Charles, was reportedly entered Saturday, Oct. 26, through a ceiling vent. Nothing appeared missing, but the vent was damaged. The vent’s estimated value was $100.

• Jennifer A. Benjamin, 41, of the 39W100 block of Longmeadow Lane, St. Charles, was charged Friday, Oct. 25, with speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol.

• A $60 makeup brush kit was reported stolen Friday, Oct. 25, from an unlocked 2012 Volvo in the west side parking deck, 100 Illinois Street, St. Charles.

• Jesus J. Velasquez-Saucedo, 43, of the 800 block of North Eighth Avenue, Maywood, was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 23, on a DuPage County warrant for failing to appear in court on a battery charge.

• Bonifacio Rodriguez-Sanchez, 45, of the 400 block of Bent Street, Elgin, was charged Thursday, Oct. 24, with driving with a revoked license, driving without insurance and improper lane use following an accident in the 2600 block of Lincoln Highway, St. Charles.
