2 adults accused of hosting underage drinkers in Batavia

BATAVIA – Charges are pending against two adults for hosting a party in which juveniles were accused of underage drinking, according to police reports.

Batavia police were called to the 200 block of South Prairie Street at 9:31 p.m. Nov. 1 for reports of a loud party, according to police reports. When police arrived, 50 to 75 people fled the area, reports stated.

Officers detained numerous people.

Police questioned 21 minors, who will be charged with ordinance violations, according to police reports.

Police also questioned 12 additional juveniles who were at the party but not drinking.

They will not be charged, reports stated.

Batavia police expect to release more information when charges are filed.
