Face Time with Marguerite Ledone

Sugar Grove resident Marguerite Ledone, 48, was at the kickoff event for the Holiday in the Grove festival when she answered 10 questions from the Kane County Chronicle’s Al Lagattolla.

Where did you grow up? In Itasca

Do you have any pets? Cracker, a little dog

What was your first job? Itasca Cleaners

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A secretary

What did you become? A mom, so I guess I was a secretary. And I’m a Pampered Chef consultant.

Do you have a favorite Christmas movie or book? “Christmas with the Kranks.”

Do you have any favorite charities? The Sugar Grove food pantry, Marklund and Mutual Ground.

What got you into Holiday in the Grove? First, my kids. When it looked like it might not happen, I stepped up to the plate. I know how much fun my kids had, and I wanted to make sure the rest of the community had the opportunity to come and see Santa.

What is your favorite local restaurant? Fireside Grille

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I love to scrapbook. I have five friends who get together and scrap during the winter. And I love Great America. I get season tickets every year.
