Letter: Toys for Kids
To the Editor:
Once again, we are asking for your support of the Tri-Cities Toys for Kids program at Christmastime. We are looking for new toys, games, etc., and also will be accepting monetary contributions to help make this Christmas a very special one.
This program – in its 30th year – has had great success due to your support. The toys are given to The Salvation Army for distribution to needy boys and girls in the Tri-Cities area.
Please help us by dropping off any of these toys at the Pottawatomie Golf Course, Pottawatomie Community Center, Baker Community Center, St. Charles Municipal Building, Norris Recreation Center, any St. Charles School District 303 grade school, St. Charles North High School, Geneva High School, Heartland Elementary School in Geneva, Hosanna Lutheran Church in St. Charles, the St. Charles Public Library, Second Street Tavern, the Arcada Theatre, Jersey Mike’s (the locations in St. Charles, Geneva and South Elgin), Dick Pond Athletics in St. Charles and STC Capital Bank (both locations in St. Charles).
Look for the Toys for Kids float, sponsored by the St. Charles Breakfast Rotary Club, in the St. Charles Christmas parade at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 30.
Here is an opportunity to bring a new toy to the parade for collection by the Breakfast Rotary Club.
The needy boys and girls in our area thank you for making their Christmas special. Please call me for further information at 630-429-0560. Thank you.
