BATAVIA – A fire early Friday caused $25,000 in damage to a Batavia home, but there were no injuries, according to a news release from the Batavia Fire Department.

Firefighters went at 12:38 a.m. to the 700 block of Lathem Street, responding to a report of a fire in the basement from a wood-burning stove.
