Geneva resident Tammy Phelan, 55, was volunteering at the Mothers Club of Geneva Craft Show when she answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? Sheboygan, Wis.

Pets? Two cats, Sugar and Sunshine

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Jamie Lee Curtis

First job? Ironing men’s shirts for a neighbor, 10 cents a shirt

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I had no idea, but I became an accounting instructor at NIU.

Favorite charity? Mothers Club of Geneva, which will become the Geneva Women’s Club next year.

What game show would you be on? “Family Feud”

Favorite local restaurant? Foxfire in Geneva

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I was an accountant at a steel mill, and I got to pour 300 tons of liquid metal. I was on a tour, and I was asked if I wanted to do this –I pushed a lever, and the heat of steel was like the Fourth of July.
