AURORA – The Paramount Theatre, at 23 E. Galena Boulevard in downtown Aurora, is collecting items to deliver to those who were impacted by Sunday’s tornadoes.

Theater officials are asking those attending this week’s final performances of “Miss Saigon” to bring at least one item to donate. Donation boxes will be set up in the Paramount Theatre’s Grand Lobby.

Those not attending a show who would like to donate an item can stop by and leave their donation in the lobby. Until 6 p.m., there is 15-minute parking in front of the theatre.

Collection will take place through Sunday. Collection hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

“We’re very fortunate this did not happen to us,” said Tim Rater, President and CEO of the Paramount Theatre, in a news release. “Now let’s help those that were not as fortunate.”

Items needed include garbage bags, cleaning supplies, toilet bowl cleaner, work gloves, legal pads, work clothes, razors, soap, deodorant, hair brushes, soap, bottled water and baby formula.
