Face Time with Patty Rambo

Geneva resident Patty Rambo, 63, was at the open house of the new Geneva Visitors Center when she answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? Hillside

Pets? A 120-pound Bernese mountain dog named Brewster

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Meryl Streep or Cameron Diaz

First job? A cashier at Jewel

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A doctor. I became a Realtor instead. I’m the real estate agent who bought Miscella from Jamie Daniel.

A movie you’d recommend? “Gravity”

Favorite charity? I support every effort on breast cancer research.

Favorite local restaurant? We eat our way through Geneva every week. I couldn’t pick a favorite.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I met James Caan in New York City. We had a sidebar conversation, both of us in the city for business. He pointed to the movie marquee “Honeymoon in Vegas” and asked if I would like to see it. I said, no, it did not look that good … then I said, “Oh my God, you’re James Caan.” I still didn’t want to see it. I said I would wait for it to be on video.
