Weekend Chit-chat with ... Rosary sophomore swimmer Annie Gosselin

Rosary sophomore Annie Gosselin qualified for two individual events and the 200 freestyle relay at Friday’s IHSA girls swimming and diving state preliminaries at New Trier. Last season, she placed ninth in the 100 backstroke, as perennial contender Rosary slipped to a tie for 34th place. Refocused and re-energized with a young but deep team, the Beads descended on Winnetka with renewed trophy aspirations. Kane County Chronicle sports reporter Kevin Druley addressed the team’s morale with Gosselin as part of the latest edition of the Weekend Chit-chat. The following is an edited transcript:
