To the Editor:
Reading Mr. McQuillan’s letter to the editor in the Nov. 9 edition of the Kane County Chronicle, tutoring us about the recent perks allowed for Geneva School District 304’s superintendent, helped firm up my opinion concerning most public representatives – it is not at all about “us;” it is all about “them.”
We created this nightmare of titanic public debt through our own self-centeredness, and only we can correct it. Attention to detail at the voting booth – and follow-up on promises – is our weapon of choice.
We have sorely abused that weapon through our neglect and apathy.
