St. Charles police reports

• Franklin L. Robinson, 63, of the 900 block of Ziegler Avenue, Aurora, was charged Thursday, Nov. 21, with selling tobacco to a minor at Frank’s Shoe Shine in the Q Center, 1405 N. Fifth Ave., St. Charles.

• Paul L. Garza Jr., 18, of the 35W300 block of Sunset Drive, St. Charles, was arrested Thursday, Nov. 21, on a Kane County warrant for failing to appear in court on a charge of aggravated battery. He also was charged with speeding.

• Police responded to two car burglaries Friday, Nov. 22, at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main St., St. Charles. The rear window of a Toyota was reportedly smashed and a bag with school supplies valued at $200 was reported stolen. A window also was damaged on a Chevrolet, but no items were reported stolen.

• A battery-powered toy car valued at $100 was reported stolen Friday, Nov. 22, in the 200 block of North 15th Street, St. Charles.

• A man and woman reportedly stole a Butterball turkey with an estimated value of $20 to $25 from Jewel, 652 N. Kirk Road, while purchasing $58.63 in merchandise from the self-checkout lane. The man was described as white or Hispanic, balding, 5-foot-9 inches, heavy set and 40 to 45 years old. The woman was described as white or Hispanic, heavy set and wore her dark, graying hair in a bun.

• Mary Irmazell Williams, 26, of the 0-100 block of Clifford Court, Elgin, was charged Saturday, Nov. 23, with driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and leaving the scene of an accident in the 1700 block of East Main Street in St. Charles.

• A 22-year-old St. Charles man reported his Chevrolet Camaro was stolen Saturday, Nov. 23, when he left it running, unattended, during a 20-minute shopping trip at Jewel, 2073 Prairie St., St. Charles. Police reportedly found the car in Crystal Lake and police there interrogated suspects. Police noted the vehicle’s owner would be cited with leaving the car running unattended.

• Erika Santos-Mejia, 34, of the 1200 block of Kings Cross, West Chicago, was charged Saturday, Nov. 23, with retail theft for reportedly stealing $72 in merchandise from Walmart, 150 Smith Road, St. Charles.

• Theodore Allen Provost Jr., 37, of the 100 block of South Chapel Street, Elgin, was charged Sunday, Nov. 24, with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a revoked license, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane use following an accident in the 4300 block of North Second Street, St. Charles.

• Jeremy J. Radar, 23, of the 700 block of Aztec Drive, Carol Stream, was charged Sunday, Nov. 24, with public drunkenness.

• Casey R. Nuckles, 43, of the 400 block of Martin Drive, South Elgin, was charged Sunday, Nov. 24, with fighting.

• Travis M. Eubanks, 23, of the 300 block of Juniper Lane, South Elgin, was charged Sunday, Nov. 24, with public urination.

• A 6-cubic-yard dumpster was reportedly damaged by fire Monday, Nov. 18, in the 1700 block of East Main Street, St. Charles. Repair costs were estimated at $700.

• Apolonio Cuatzo-Velazquez, 23, of the 1900 block of Wessel Court, St. Charles, was charged Monday, Nov. 18, with driving without a license, driving without insurance and making an improper left turn after an accident in the 2000 block of West Main Street.

• Steven Anthony Adkins, 35, of the 0-100 block of Pheasant Run Road, Joliet, was charged Tuesday, Nov. 19, with simple assault.

• Two lights were reported stolen Tuesday, Nov. 19, from the front bumper of a 2008 Cadillac parked at Charlestowne Mall, 3800 E. Main St., St. Charles.

• A resident of the 300 block of Jewel Avenue, St. Charles, reported Tuesday, Nov. 19, someone had driven through the front yard and knocked down a mailbox valued at $10.

• David Scott Gronow, 47, of the 3N900 block of Walt Whitman Road, St. Charles, was charged Tuesday, Nov. 19, with violation of bail bond and violation of an order of protection.

• James P. Smiewec, 36, of the 0-100 block of White Oak Circle, St. Charles, was charged Tuesday, Nov. 19, with aggravated battery to a pregnant woman, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and two counts of domestic battery.

• Daniel Edward Kupreisis, 23, of St. Charles, was charged Tuesday, Nov. 19, with criminal trespass to real property. He also was arrested on a DuPage County warrant for failing to appear in court.
