Face Time with Carol Murin

Geneva Township resident Carol Murin, 65, was at the open house of the new Geneva Visitors Center when she answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? South side of Chicago

Pets? I have a grand-cat named Squeaks and an adopted Lab across the street named Lizzie. My husband gives her treats.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Judi Dench

First job? Baby-sitting

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A lawyer, but I did not become that. Instead, I am a long-term care insurance specialist

A book you’d recommend? “Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China” by Jung Chang

Favorite charity? Anything to do with developmentally disabled children, such as Marklund, and senior citizens

What game show would you be on? “Jeopardy”

Favorite local restaurant? Chez Moi in Geneva

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I have been scuba diving, I’ve gone up in a hot-air balloon. And, I spent three weeks in China.
