Batavia man charged with burglary, theft

BATAVIA – A Batavia man has been charged in connection with residential burglaries that occurred earlier this year.

Depree M. Sharp, 29, of the 100 block of North Jefferson St., Batavia, was charged today with two counts of residential burglary and two counts of theft, both felonies. The charges are the result of an investigation from residential burglaries that occurred in April and October in the 400 block of Houston Street and the 0-100 block of North Jefferson Street, respectively.

Batavia police detectives are continuing the investigation and pursuing the possibility of additional victims of similar offenses, according to a press release.

Officials could not be reached for comment.
