Group hosts Christmas raffle

The winner of a Barbie in the Friends of the Town & Country Public Library group raffle was Hailey Casburn of Elburn.

ELBURN – The Friends of the Town & Country Public Library group hosted its Christmas raffle Dec. 7 at the library.

The drawing was supervised by Joan Hansen, executive vice president. The winning ticket for the Barbie was drawn by Tania Miller, secretary, and the winner of the Opening Night 1993 Classique Barbie was Hailey Casburn of Elburn.

The winning ticket for the toy tractor was drawn by a young patron, Will Borucki, and the winners of the John Deere Monster Treads toy tractor were Marge Tupy and Joe Kryszak, who are donating their prize to an Elburn family.

Fran Kitz of Elburn donated the Barbie in memory of her husband, Marty, who passed away this year. The truck was donated by the Arends Hogan Walker John Deere dealer of Elburn.
