Metra trains on the Union Pacific West Line, which services Geneva, LaFox and Elburn, have been stopped since 2 p.m. Friday because a person was struck by a train, a Metra spokeswoman said.

The incident happened in Glen Ellyn, spokeswoman Meg Reile said. It was an inbound train. Trains in both directions were stopped as of 2:50 p.m., and a Metra advisory indicated trains could be delayed for as long as 60 minutes.
