MAPLE PARK – Geneva swept Saturday's Kaneland wrestling quadrangular to improve to 15-2 in duals. A 45-21 victory against Rock Island especially stirred the Vikings.

"Rock Island's been kicking our butt the last few years and we didn't wrestle that well against them, so to beat them 45-21, I'm pretty happy," Vikings coach Tom Chernich said.

Geneva also defeated Belvidere North (60-18) and Kaneland (35-30). Vikings junior 170-pounder Austian Choan went 3-0 on the day to cap a 4-0 weekend.

Kaneland beat Belvidere North (48-6) and Rock Island (36-33) in its other duals. Adam Mish (113), Dane Goodenough (138), Austin Parks (160) and Justin Diddell (285) collected falls in the Geneva dual.
