Saturday's prep roundup: Rosary girls basketball stops Plano

PLANO – The Rosary girls basketball team topped Plano on Saturday, 45-32.

Rachel Choice (16 points) and Adrienne Winkel (10) paced the Royals (6-9).

"We used our speed in the full court," Rosary coach Jessie Wilcox said. "We got some steals off of our full-court press, so it was good to get out of our slump. … Tonight was a great win for us to get back on track for the second half of our season."


Evanston 72, St. Charles East 64: At Evanston, East (8-7) dropped the non-conference matchup.

Marmion 68, Buffalo Grove 52: At Buffalo Grove, Marmion (5-9) prevailed in the non-conference matchup.


Kaneland 30, Plano 29: At , Nick Mish (106 pounds), Adam Mish (113), Matthews Redman (126) and Tom Price (170) all won by fall as Kaneland nipped Plano.

Geneva 55, South Elgin 12: At South Elgin, Ryan O'Brien (126 pounds), Jordan Soto (138), Mike Huck (145) and Austin Chaon (170) won by fall for the Vikings in the Upstate Eight Conference crossover.
