ST. CHARLES – Artists wanting to participate in the St. Charles Fine Art
Show have until Jan. 15 to apply.

The annual event is set for May 24 and 25 in downtown St. Charles and features such mediums as clay and ceramics, mixed media, fine art jewelry, sculpture and glass.

About 110 artists participated in last year’s show, and the Downtown St. Charles Partnership is seeking similar numbers for this year’s event, said Scott Piner, the organization’s marketing and development manager.

He said applications are being accepted online at

Artists must submit four images of their work as well as one booth image.

Volunteers with the Fine Art Show Committee will review the submissions and make selections to ensure the show is balanced and of high quality, Piner said.

The show, which is outdoors, will give artists more than $6,000 in artist merit awards, including judges’ awards, awards of excellence and best of show, according to the partnership.

The event also features live music, artist demonstrations and a purchase award program.
