• A hit-and-run accident was reported Monday, Dec. 30, at Randall and Crane roads in St. Charles Township.

• LaShawn T. Smith, 52, of the 300 block of West 110th Street, Chicago, was charged Friday, Jan. 3, with obstructing identification during a motorist assist call near Keslinger and Schneider roads in Elburn. A Ford Ranger had reportedly ran out of gas and got stuck in snow on the side of the road.

• A townhouse in the 34W600 block of Roosevelt Avenue, St. Charles Township, was reported burglarized Sunday, Jan. 5. An Xbox 360 valued at $200 was the only item reported stolen, but all interior doors – including closets – were open, all the lights were on and drawers appeared to have been opened and then partially closed. A basement window and sliding door lock were also reported damaged.

• Criminal property damage was reported Monday, Dec. 30, at a house on the 39W000 block of Revere House Lane, Geneva. The owner told police that someone has intentionally thrown condoms, pictures and pornographic DVDs on the driveway since August. On this day, a condom – possibly used – was placed overnight on the driveway in front of the overhead garage door, on which a curse word was written in permanent marker.

• A resident of the 6N700 block of Tuscola Avenue, St. Charles Township, reported Tuesday, Dec. 31, that his or her credit card was used to buy about $1,783 worth of merchandise from an online retailer.
