Bowling against Bullying event set for Feb. 8

AURORA – P.E.A.K. for Kids, which stands for promoting enrichment and kindness, will have a fundraising event –Bowling Against Bullying. The adult-only event will take place Saturday, Feb. 8, at Parkside Lanes, 34W185 Montgomery Road, Aurora.

Bowling against Bullying is a collaborative effort being hosted by the Kindness Campaign, the N.E.H. Foundation and Peak for Kids, all of which are dedicated to promoting kindness at home, in school and in the community. 

The event begins at 7:30 p.m. with pizza, a raffle and a speech by police officer Jeff Bean, who also is the president and founder of Act of Bullying. Bowling starts at 9 p.m. and will be hosted by a Trivia DJ, Go4it Entertainment.

In addition to trivia games, bowling will be accompanied by music, contests, games, prizes and a cash bar. “The Dolly McCarthy Show” will host the event’s opening ceremonies.

The cost to attend is $30 a person, and it includes bowling, shoe rental, pizza and soft drinks.
