Face Time with Kim Bohannon

St. Charles resident Kim Bohannon was at Peck Farm Park in Geneva when she answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? Hudson, Ohio

Pets? Three rabbits, Phineas, Sneezers and Miss Oreo Cookie

First job? At Sohio gas station, which is not BP. I cleaned windows, put air in the tires. Gas was 65.9 cents a gallon, and a pack of a cigarettes was 50 cents.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? An occupational therapist. I’m a naturalist at Peck Farm Park with a master’s degree in elementary education – but I’m not grown up yet.

A movie you’d recommend? “Stardust”

Favorite charity? Any animal rescues

Do you play an instrument? Guitar, but not well

Do you speak another language? I am fluent in barred owl. It sounds like “Who cooks for you? Who cooks for you?”

Favorite local restaurant? Egg Harbor in Geneva. They have the best gluten-free pancakes in the world.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I met George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush before Ronald Reagan was chosen to run for president. I had lunch with the entire Chicago Bulls team after they won a championship. Michael Jordan signed a basketball for me.
