St. Charles resident Scott Bell, 47, was at Batavia 3rd Ward Alderman Dan Chanzit’s house for a potluck supper when he answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? St. Charles

Pets? A yellow Lab named Mowgli and a black Lab-terrier mix named Sabrina

Who would play you in the movie of your life? John Cusack

First job? Paper route

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Astronaut. I became a mutual fund analyst.

A book you’d recommend? “Black Swan” by Nassim Nicholas Taleb

Favorite charity? American Cancer Society

What game show would you be on? “Name That Tune”

Favorite local restaurant? Sweet Tomatoes in St. Charles

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? When I was 6, I stared down a gray wolf in Missouri. I was out in the country and this wolf came up and sniffed me and went away. I wasn’t ripe yet.
