Kane County Sheriff’s Office police reports

• A person salting roads reported Wednesday, Jan. 15, someone had dumped garbage in a ditch on Schneider Road near Keslinger Road in Elburn. Items included five gallon water bottles, a fan, a cat litter box and a DVD player.

• Byron J. Roe, 20, of the 100 block of Josephine Avenue, South Elgin, was charged Saturday, Jan. 11, with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08 percent, illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He reportedly called for a motorist assist because he was stuck in the snow on the 5N800 block of Route 25 in St. Charles Township.
