Prep roundup: St. Francis boys basketball beats Walter Christian

WHEATON – The St. Francis boys basketball team knocked off Walther Christian, 66-41, on Wednesday in a Suburban Christian Conference crossover.

Forward Kilian Brown scored 21 points and Will Purdom added 12 points for the Spartans (7-6). Forward Adam Hart had 12 rebounds. The Spartans led at halftime, 33-14.

GIRLS BOWLING

Ottawa 2,733, Kaneland 2,537: At Dettores Lanes in Ottawa, Dominique Lee led Kaneland with a 509 series while teammate Rena Wojciechowski added a 453 series.

BOYS SOCCER

North’s Larsen commits to Bowling Green: St. Charles North goalkeeper Billy Larsen committed to Bowling Green on Wednesday, a Mid-American Conference program.

Larsen earlier had committed to Manhattan but financial considerations prompted Larsen to reconsider.
