ST. CHARLES – St. Charles School District 303 is conducting an online lottery through Wednesday for preschool classes operating out of Fox Ridge, Ferson Creek and Norton Creek schools, according to a district news release issued Monday.

District 303 will offer a five-day-a-week, half-day, morning or afternoon preschool program at those schools for the 2014-15 year.

The program is open to children 3 to 5 years old who live in the St. Charles school district boundaries.

Children must be 3 by Sept. 1. Children who are 5 by Sept. 1 will not be eligible for enrollment.

Pending school board approval, tuition will be $275 a month, and a $100 annual registration and materials fee will be required.

An enrollment lottery is being held because space is limited.

Names will be drawn Thursday, and parents will be notified that day if their child was randomly selected. Those not chosen will be placed on a waiting list and will be notified when a space becomes available.

If space is available after the lottery, students may be enrolled after Thursday.
