I can’t say I’ve gotten used to these Polar Vortex days, but my skin has definitely gotten thicker since those 20-degree days we had toward the end of the prep football season.
Monday morning, I saw Ron Marine shoveling his sidewalk in Geneva as my car temperature gauge read minus 11. As steam poured out of his mouth, he said, “It’s a beautiful day!”
And, after a winter like we’ve had, I appreciated Ron’s upbeat attitude as I went on my way, back to the warmth of my car.
