Letter: How fortunate we are

To the Editor:

The Kane County Chronicle and the St. Charles Public Library newsletter made us aware of the Jan. 26 Sunday afternoon concert featuring Carlyn Lloyd and Jon Warfel.

It was another sunny but very cold day in the Fox Valley, and yet there was almost a full house in the historic and beautiful Carnegie Community Room of the St. Charles Public Library.

The audience included all ages, and the beautiful music helped us forget the ugly weather outside.

Downstairs was just as busy with students studying, patrons surfing the Net, and lots of books and CDs being checked out.

How fortunate we are to have such wonderful public facilities, as well as groups such as the St. Charles Singers and the Fine Line art studio.

Mike and Nancy Hill
