The Aurora Central Catholic girls basketball team lost, 54-47, to Nazareth in nonconference action Thursday in LaGrange.
The Chargers (9-11) took the lead on Nazareth, 42-40. Unfortunately a senior-driven Nazareth squad would not be denied and fought back to take a three-point lead with less than a minute in the game forcing ACC to intentionally foul late.
The Roadrunners made all but one of their free throws late to put away the game.
The Chargers showed balanced scoring with eight Chargers scoring. They were led by junior's Natalie Droeske with nine points and 13 rebounds. Alex Horton and Veronica LaVia added eight points 8 apiece.
