St. Charles police seeking information about spent shotgun shells, damaged sign

ST. CHARLES – The St. Charles Police Department is seeking information about a sign shot along Lincoln Highway on Tuesday night.

Police have no description of the two suspects, which is why they are asking the public for help, spokesperson Lisa Blackwell said.

"It was fairly early in the evening, so we're hoping someone heard or saw something," she said.

A witness reportedly saw two individuals pointing a gun at a real estate sign at about 8 p.m. in the 2400 block of Lincoln Highway just west of Randall Road in St. Charles.

In checking the area, police found damage to the sign and several shotgun shells, police said.

Those with information may call the police department at 630-377-4435. Those wanting to remain anonymous should call the Drug and Crime Tip Line at 866-378-4267.
