First job? Baby-sitting

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A teacher, and I became a high school history teacher.

A book you’d recommend? “The Face in the Frost” by John Bellairs

Favorite charity? ChildFund International, formerly the Christian Children’s Fund

Do you speak another language? German and Anglo-Saxon – that’s Old English

Do you play an instrument? Flute, recorder and bodhrán – that’s an Irish drum

What game show would you be on? “Jeopardy”

Favorite local restaurant? Chili’s in St. Charles

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I am a trained stage combatant in quarterstaff, small sword, rapier and dagger and unarmed techniques.
