Lottery ticket worth $25,000 sold in South Elgin

SOUTH ELGIN – A South Elgin location is one of four that sold a grand-prize winning ticket for today's Lucky Day Lotto midday drawing. The ticket will be worth $25,000.

Thornwood Liquors, 1908 McDonald Road, South Elgin, sold a winning ticket that will split the $100,000 overall prize. The winners matched all five numbers – 1, 4, 7, 8, 9 – in the drawing.

Two other winning tickets were sold in Chicago, and another was sold in LaGrange. The retailers will receive a bonus of $250 each, 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.
