Man gets jail time for trespassing in St. Charles

ST. CHARLES TOWNSHIP – A man accused of entering a St. Charles apartment and threatening a resident
has pleaded guilty to criminal trespass to a residence,
Kane County court records show.

Marquis K. Walker, 25, submitted the plea Feb. 5 to Judge Clint Hull.

He was sentenced to 24 months of conditional discharge and 132 days in the Kane County jail, but he will receive credit for 66 days served, records show.

Other charges against him – home invasion and
aggravated assault – were dismissed, according to records.

Walker was arrested Dec. 2 after he pushed his way into an apartment in the 100 block of South 17th Street in St. Charles and threatened the resident with a butcher knife, police have said.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
