ST. CHARLES – The St. Charles Police Department is urging people to be sure to lock their vehicles after reports of two calls for burglary to a motor vehicle were received on Wednesday.

The incidents took place in the early morning hours, one in the 100 block of St. Germain Place and the second in the 200 block of Tower Hill Drive, according to a news release issued Friday. Police said both incidents involved vehicles that were left unsecured by owners.

Police said "miscellaneous personal items" were taken from both vehicles.

"The St. Charles Police Department is urging citizens to secure your vehicles and to not leave any personal items in plain view," the release stated. "Remove anything of value if possible."

Police ask anyone with information about the incidents to call 630-377-4435.
