ST. CHARLES TOWNSHIP – A 39-year-old man who faces multiple felony charges out of Campton Hills has been convicted of escape, according to Kane County court documents.

For more than a year, Daniel R. Kellogg eluded authorities, dodging a five-year prison sentence for burglarizing cars parked outside a St. Charles gym.

He was also wanted on multiple felony charges out of Campton Hills that stemmed from fraudulent activity involving a house he rented in 2011 in the 40W700 block of Grand Monde Drive in the village.

An anonymous tip in January 2013 led to Kellogg's arrest in St. Charles. In August, a grand jury indicted Kellogg of felony escape, and on Feb. 11 a Kane County jury convicted him of the Class 3 felony, records show.

Judge John Barsanti is expected to sentence Kellogg on March 12, the same day he is due in court for other cases.
