Editor’s Notebook: Candidate info on Election Central
The Kane County Chronicle’s Election Central website is now live.
Voters seeking details about the candidates in the March 18 primary election can find helpful information by visiting Election Central at www.kcchronicle.com/election-central.
Contested races on the site include those for Kane County sheriff and clerk; Kane County Board Districts 5 and 11; 50th and 65th State Representative Districts; 11th and 14th U.S. Congressional Districts; and U.S. Senate.
Visitors to Election Central will find election stories, candidate bios and candidate views on relevant topics. Endorsements also will appear on the site starting next week.
Readers who feel strongly about a candidate or referendum are invited to submit letters to the editor. Letters must include the author’s first and last name, address and telephone number, and can be emailed to email@example.com, faxed to 630-444-1645 or mailed to Kane County Chronicle, Attention: Letters, 333 N. Randall Road, Suite 2, St. Charles, IL 60174. Letters must be no longer than 400 words in length.
Finally, our reporting team will be out in full force during the primary election March 18. Race results will appear in the Chronicle the next morning, and they also will be posted on Election Central. It will be exciting to see who moves on to the general election Nov. 4.
So, get informed and get out and vote. And if you can’t make it to your local precinct March 18, take advantage of early voting March 3 through 15. To learn more about early voting, visit the Kane County Clerk’s website at www.kanecountyelections.org and click on “Early Voting.”
