In Focus: A cat’s curiosity

I visited with some dogs and cats at the Kane County Animal Control facility this week in Geneva.

When I entered the cat room, there were about three cats in a small “play park” area made of plastic toys, and one large black cat lounging on top of the gated pen area.

As I walked through the room, the black cat slinked across the gates as if on a tight rope and then leapt to the floor, landing on its feet.
