Letter: Candidate considerations

To the Editor:

My fellow voters, Bill Lenert is running for Kane County Board District 5 to represent us. I didn’t know Mr. Lenert before his announcement as a candidate for the Kane County Board. I took some time to visit with people who might know him.

His neighbors (two) said with years of experience, “You won’t find a finer man and family to represent your neighborhood.”

His business associates (three): “Bill is honest to a fault. He is well read, does his homework and thinks before he speaks.”

A West Aurora School District administrator said, “Bill’s ability to enable folks to work as a team for education is essential for our community.”

A Holy Angels mother: “Bill is a family man and understands the life experiences of other’s – both good and bad.” “He was a great help for us.”

The St. Katharine Drexel Church Building Campaign: “Bill was always available with his time and experience. Fun person to work with.”

I see Bill Lenert has graduated from Marmion Academy, did his college work at Aurora University and went on to do his master’s degree at Illinois Benedictine. He has run a successful insurance business, and he has been a small business owner for more than 29 years. His campaign literature indicates he will lower taxes, ensure more jobs and provide better wages.

I think I will vote for Bill Lenert. Hope you as my fellow voters will also.
