Letter: Ahead of the curve

To the Editor:

My father introduced me to Jack Cunningham when I was in the sixth grade. I’m proud to say my first political foray was going door-to-door for Jack when he ran for the Aurora City Council. I campaigned for him then, and I’m happy to do it now because I’ve seen what Jack has done for Kane County

Through our affiliation with the Illinois Association of County Officials, I’ve personally seen that – under his leadership – the Kane County Clerk’s Office is always proactive and ahead of the curve when it comes to elections, voter registration, technology, day-to-day operations and management.

Having taken the Kendall County Coroner’s Office from a funeral home to the modern facility it is today, I know what it’s like to build something from the ground up. Jack Cunningham has done the same thing with the Kane County Clerk’s Office.

Through Jack’s participation in the National Association of County Recorders, Elected Officials and Clerks, not only is the Kane County Clerk’s Office held in high esteem throughout the state, but nationally as well.

Jack keeps his word, always helps those who ask and he runs one of the best offices in Illinois.

I have no reservation in asking you to vote for Jack Cunningham for Kane County clerk on March 18.
