Letter: A hard worker

To the Editor:

I am writing this letter in support of Melisa Taylor for Kane County Board District 5. Melisa has proven herself to be a dedicated, competent, independent-thinking board member. She continually works to represent the constituents of District 5. Melisa always listens to her constituents and votes her conscience.

I had the opportunity to serve with Melisa on the Sugar Grove Village Board. I know for a fact that Melisa takes her responsibility as a board member seriously. She does her homework! She always reads her information thoroughly and researches the information.

She has always been a hard worker, a strong community volunteer and involved parent. From the time that her two daughters were young, Melisa became involved in many community and school activities. Most recently, she saw a need for a food pantry in Sugar Grove to help service those who have fallen on hard times. She worked diligently with others to establish the Between Friends Food Pantry.

Melisa does not shy away from a challenge and will be the best choice to continue representing those of us who reside in District 5. She has stressed the importance of responsible budgeting and spending of tax dollars.

Please show your support for Melisa by casting your ballot in the Republican primary. Early voting is currently underway, with the election on March 18.
