Letter: An excellent candidate

To the Editor:

I am writing to express my support for John Martin for Kane County Board District 11. I have known John for over 20 years – first, as a fellow member of the Geneva Lions Club and, later, as the father of a daughter who was on the Geneva High School Dance Team with my daughter. I have also had the opportunity to know John from doing business with him a number of times.

John’s background, experience and education make him an excellent candidate for the County Board. John was one of the founding partners of Huck Bouma and has been practicing law for 40 years, specializing in real estate, planning and zoning. He was also the managing partner of his firm for many years. This experience gave him a clear understanding of how to grow and run a business, meet payroll, and develop and follow a budget. His focus during his legal career gives him unique qualifications to deal with the many land-use issues that come before the County Board and the forest preserve commission.

Finally, John is a person of the highest morals and ethics and will look at all issues that come before the County Board accordingly. He is the best candidate for the County Board in District 11 and I urge you to vote for him on March 18 or during early voting, which began on March 3.
